CORE 1.23.5 [SciNote Premium]
With this release, we are rolling out a few improvements that will enhance the performance of SciNote, especially on the Inventory screen, Experiments screen, and search of tags on Tasks.

CORE 1.23.4 [SciNote Premium]
With this release, you will be able to print a protocol directly from a task or save the protocol to pdf. Simply click the “Print” button on the task screen.
Other improvements and bug fixes:
- Users that have access to projects via the “Make this project visible to all team members” project setting are from now on grouped together into “Everyone else at Team”. You will be able to see this group in Manage access windows on projects.
- SciNote now supports Okta Single sign on (SSO) access management.
- Small bug fixes.

This SciNote Free release includes all updates that were released in CORE 1.23.0 [SciNote Premium] and CORE 1.23.4 [SciNote Premium].

CORE 1.23.1 [SciNote Premium]
With this release, SciNote is upgrading the permission system related to Projects to ensure even better and more secure access to your data in SciNote.
While bringing some additional flexibility, the upgraded permission system is designed in a way that you can continue to use SciNote in an identical way as before. This upgrade will help us roll out even more advanced access control in the future.
Here are some highlights that the upgraded SciNote permission system brings:
- In addition to projects, you can now manage access for users also on experiments and tasks
- Improved Manage project members: cleaner look, easier adding new project members with search by name option, easier granting and updating roles
- Simpler moving of Experiments to other projects
- Improved project visibility setting (when creating a new project or editing existing one): we replaced the “Project members only / All team members” setting with the “Make this project visible to all team members” and added the option to grant any role to all team members, not just Viewer as before

With this release SciNote inventories are becoming even more advanced! All inventory items now have:
- their unique barcode displayed in the item card, and
- the option to print the inventory item labels with the barcode via FLUICS label printer.

- Extended API with endpoint for retrieving Task comments.
- Extended API to include timestamps globally for SciNote objects.

CORE 1.22.2 [SciNote Premium]
This SciNote electronic lab notebook update brings displayed Experiment IDs for easier referencing of your Experiments, and several other improvements.
Displayed Experiment IDs:
- Experiment IDs (with prefix EX and ID number) are displayed in the context menu (3-dots button) on the Experiment cards and in the table view.
- You can search for an Experiment by its ID via SciNote global search, or via the Experiments filter in the “Contains text” input field.
- Experiment IDs also appear in SciNote Reports.
Other improvements and bug fixes:
- Updated inviting new members to the Organization: In the Members Settings, Organization Administrator can now invite new members directly to one or more Teams and select their role.
- Updated inviting members to the Team: In the Team Settings you can now invite members to the Team by selecting them from the list or invite new members via email.
- On the Task page the navigation sidebar with Tasks is now back for easier navigation between the Tasks that belong to the same Experiment.
- Smart annotations of users (@user) are now enabled in the comment field when signing, rejecting or revoking a signature on Task for notifying the mentioned users.
- Signing Tasks with 2FA: users are able to sign Tasks with their username and 2FA code in the organizations that are using Single sign-on (SSO).
- Fixed background of Marvin JS image previews.

This SciNote electronic lab notebook update brings several improvements to your SciNote Reports!
Here are some highlights of the upgraded SciNote Reports:
- Reports page has been updated.
- PDF and DOCX report files can be saved directly in the Reports table.
- There is a new report generation flow.
- You can now include all Microsoft Office and PDF attachments on Task Results as full-page attachments in your report.
- You can reorder your Experiments, Tasks and Results.
Other improvements and bug fixes:
- Organization Administrator can add him/herself to a Team as Team Administrator.
- Organization Administrator can now disable two-factor authentication (2FA) for SciNote members.
- Fixed date and time format stored in the inventory “Date & Time”-type column in SciNote API.
- Reports can again be saved in the “File”-type column of a selected inventory item.
- Fixed Safari CSS issues and other small fixes.

This SciNote electronic lab notebook update brings to you refined notifications and several other SciNote improvements.
Improvements and bug fixes:
- Refined notifications for user mentions (smart annotations), user assignments, comments, signatures and other important activities on Projects, Experiments and Tasks.
- Multi-page previews for PDF attachments on Tasks.
- User preference for cards/table view for Projects and Experiments is stored and remembered.
- Breadcrumbs added on the Experiment and Task pages above the titles.
- Mouse hover on names in the navigation panel displays the entire name in a tooltip.
- Clicking on any icon in the Members row on a Project card opens the modal window to manage project users.
- Adding yourself as a Project owner on a Project card (for Team administrators) directly opens the modal window to manage project users.

Demo project removal
The “Demo project” will no longer be added by default to all new SciNote instances and newly created Teams. The “Polymerase chain reaction” experiment template has been moved to the Project “Templates” instead. There is also no default inventory “Samples” for new instances and new Teams.

- Enabled deleting of empty folders (for Team administrators)
- Folder name displayed on the main page
- Sticky toolbar on Projects and Experiments main pages
- Folder in the Archive can have the same name as an active folder
